Dolland Pond Lodge Hunting Schedule 2007

Date Description
Sept 16 to 23 Caribou only: Be the first hunters in this camp for the season: trophy caribou and good fishing.
Sept 23 to Sept 30 Caribou with possible moose add on
Sept 30 to Oct 07 Caribou (one bear and one moose tag also available this week) hunts: Hunt the caribou pre-rut and full moose rut.
Oct to 07 to 14 Max four openings for caribou (one bear and one moose tag also available this week). This is the prime/full caribou rut. The meat will not be fit to eat, but the largest stags will be very visible and approachable. Bears will be in the berries. Moose will be with the cows.
Oct 14 to Oct 21 Max four openings for caribou (one bear and one moose tag also available). This is the second week of the full caribou rut.

Notes: Dolland Pond Camp Tags available each season (22 caribou, 6 moose, 10 black bear)

  1. Tag-A-Long Consultants is the exclusive agent for the Dolland Pond Camp
  2. Prices: Caribou - $4,000.00, caribou/bear combo - $5,000.00, caribou/moose combo - $5,200.00, caribou/shared moose combo: see below.
  3. All hunts are five and one half days with game recovery only after noon on Saturdays.
  4. If any client wounds two caribou their hunt is over (except for the opportunity to try to find/recover the wounded animals)
  5. Spring baited bear hunts (2007) will be priced at $2,600.00 each (2X1 only hunts offered)
  6. Father/son caribou hunts will be offered as 2X1 hunts with the father paying full price and the son added at $1,500.00.
  7. Children under 18 will only be considered on a case by case basis, and only as father/son 2X1 package deals. The child must have had successful bowhunting experience and they must understand that the tags will be issued to the adult.
  8. We will offer a special option on moose tags with caribou hunts as follows:
    1. We will sell a limited number of caribou/moose combos ($5,200.00)
    2. If two clients book together we will offer the possibility of sharing a common moose tag for an increase of $600.00 per client paid in advance (only one moose may be taken)
    3. If three clients book together we will offer the possibility of sharing a common moose tag for an increase of $400.00 per client paid in advance (only one moose may be taken)
    4. If four clients wish to share a common moose tag they can each do so for a prepaid increase of $300.00 each (only one moose may be taken).
    5. In all above cases a penalty will be assessed of $3,000.00 on the group should a second moose be taken on the one common tag (this to "discourage" accidents!)
  9. Sunday is a transfer day. All clients must be at the agreed pick up location mid morning Sunday, which will mean arrival in Gander no later than Saturday evening if flying.
  10. Dolland Pond Camp is a serious trophy bow hunting operation, no guns are allowed.
